The New Book Is Here: Foundations in Faith Begins
A Simple Guide for New Believers
The new book is here! Foundations in Faith begins with a simple but urgent purpose: to help new believers understand what it means to truly walk with Jesus. This first volume, You Are Not Who You Were: Learning to Walk With Jesus, is written for those who are starting their journey, returning to the faith, or seeking a clear foundation rooted in Scripture. It focuses on repentance, obedience, and the daily reality of following Christ. Not just believing in Him, but living as His disciple.
I wrote this book because I kept seeing the same problem. Many people are told to believe, but few are shown how to walk. They hear about salvation, but they struggle to understand repentance, obedience, and daily discipleship. Over time, I realized that what many new believers need most is not complicated theology, but a clear foundation rooted in Scripture. This book grew out of that burden. It is meant to take someone by the hand and walk step by step through what it means to follow Christ in a real and practical way.
This is a short, easy-to-read book, built to be accessible from the first page. It includes simple illustrations and everyday anecdotes that help new believers grasp biblical truths without feeling overwhelmed. It is not meant to be complicated or academic. It is meant to be clear, direct, and useful. Even if the material feels basic to you, consider picking up a copy for someone who is just beginning their walk, or keeping one in your car for those unexpected conversations the Lord places in front of you. In many ways, this book functions like an extended Bible tract — something you can hand to a new believer that gives them a starting point and helps them take their first steps with confidence.
This book is for the new believer who doesn’t know where to start, the person returning to faith after years away, and the Christian who wants to rebuild on solid ground. It is written in plain language, anchored in the Bible, and designed to be accessible without sacrificing depth. Whether someone is reading alone, using it in a small group, or working through it as part of discipleship, the goal is the same: to move from simply knowing about Jesus to actually walking with Him.
Foundations in Faith also fits directly into the heart of my ministry. The focus has always been discipleship, not just decision. It’s about repentance, growth, and learning to live as a follower of Christ. This book is an extension of that mission. It provides a starting point for new disciples and a tool that churches, small groups, and individuals can use to strengthen their foundation in God’s Word.

This book is also the first step in a five-part series called Foundations in Faith. Each volume is designed to build on the one before it, gradually helping believers grow from the basics of repentance and discipleship into a deeper understanding of Scripture and the Christian life. Book one lays the groundwork. The volumes that follow will move into spiritual growth, understanding the Bible, and living out the call to discipleship in a more mature and intentional way. The goal is not just information, but formation; guiding believers step by step as they grow in their walk with Christ.
You can find the book now on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle formats. If you’ve been looking for something to give a new believer, to use in discipleship, or to help ground your own walk, I pray this book serves that purpose. Foundations in Faith begins here — and this is only the first step.
