He Is Risen!
The Ultimate Victory over Death and Sin
Easter is more than a tradition on the calendar. It’s the moment that changed everything. The New Covenant that took place on the cross was validated by His resurrection. The cross showed the depth of human sin, but the empty tomb revealed the power of God over death itself. While the world focuses on symbols, candy, and celebrations, the real message remains unchanged: Jesus Christ willingly laid down His life, and three days later He rose again. No government decree, no empire, or darkness could stop it.
The resurrection is not just a historical claim, it’s a declaration. Death does not have the final word. Lies and evil don’t have the final word. Truth walked out of that tomb. The stone was not rolled away so Jesus could get out, it was rolled away so we could look in and see that He is risen.
As you reflect on this holiest of days, remember: the same world that rejected Him then, still struggles with truth today. The resurrection stands as the ultimate reminder that God’s plan cannot be stopped. The tomb is empty, the victory is complete, and the hope is real.
He is risen. ✝️
“But the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” — Matthew 28:5–6 (KJV)

Once again George, a great reminder. One of the things from this scripture that stands out to me is when the Angel said 'as He said'! Which shows God is incapable of lies. Jesus said it and He did it! As Paul pointed out over 500 witnessed Jesus risen on an occasion. Funnily enough and a side thought. Whilst attending Church on Resurection Sunday, I was greeted by a chap handing out the hymn book and order of service with a 'Happy Easter' and I reciprocated and commented that I was not sure about the Pagan term Easter. He replied along the lines of that he didn't care what 'they' say about that and it got me thinking. I know that Easter was originally a Pagan blood sacrifice festival. But I know it commemorates Our Lord's victory over sin and death. Therfore and as the guy in my Church commented, we should be happy to claim His victory and use the word Easter wholeheartedly. We (should be) are effectively claiming ownership of the word Easter for the good of all as this Rembrance should be. Jesus Christ is King of Kings.
